The numbers in the table (of each entry) are interpreted as following: The first number is the number of GTs with known function. The second number is the number of GTs in this entry. The third number is the anticipated number of GTs based on the structure. Example: 2/4/4 means that the number of linkages in the structure indicates that there should be 4 GTs. There are 4 GTs in this entry and the function is known for 2 of them. Statistics: 55% of E. coli O-antigen structures are in the database (96/174). The function of 89% of the GTs in the database is determined (241/272). 16 (7%) of them are determined experimentally. Of the GTs with determined function 74% is previously unpublished (179/241). There are 42 GTs with proposed function without known O-antigen structure. Latest change of database contents: Fri 2 Sep 2011 |

This table is a summary of the structures in the database. Each square corresponds to one serogroup. The entry displayed in the table is the serotype with the highest number of determined GTs in the serogroup. The statistics are based on all entries in the database. If you want to see the all entries go to the list. |
